The ring of Montepiglio

This trek starts from the lovely village of Amelia, which you must surely have visited but if you haven’t, we strongly advise you to make a trip there as soon as possible. The route covers a whole series of different terrains that change as you go along. We’ll be starting on remote asphalt roads and then venturing on to mule tracks, country paths, woods and much more.

The total length is of the trek is quite demanding but it’s a route that’s suitable for everyone, as long as you’re in good physical shape. It measures around 18 km, with a gain in altitude of around 600 metres. A network of trails will take you to the top of monte Piglio, where the effort you’ve put in up to that point will be rewarded with a breath-taking view. If you enjoy spending time outdoors and you are not easily dissuaded by a bit of tiredness, this is the trek for you!

Bring a windcheater/anorak with you, even if the activity takes place in the summer months.
We recommend you wear trekking footwear.

– A comfortable backpack suitable for cycling/walking
– A warm sweater, such as a technical sports shir, for sudden drops in temperature
– A change of clothes (especially socks) in case of sudden rain
– Hat with a sun visor
– Warm hat
– Gloves
– Sunscreen.
