The Castles around Bevagna

This excursion extends along the hills around Bevagna and will take us in search of some of the ancient castles that were built to defend the territory. The route is approximately 27 km long, partly on dirt tracks and partly on asphalt, and includes a 510-metre increase in altitude so it is considered to be moderately difficult and therefore not recommended for cyclists without much training or experience. We will set off from Bevagna and move up onto the surrounding hills, cycling at the foot of ancient castles such as Limigiano, Torre del Colle or Castelbuono, and also passing through the Parco della Scultura before returning to our starting point. The areas we will cycle through boast incredible landscapes, the result of the age-old interaction of man with nature and they are among the most characteristic of their kind in the world. Recommended clothing

For this activity we recommend comfortable clothing that does not restrict your freedom of movement.
We recommend wearing the right footwear for the type of bike you are going to use.
We strongly recommend the use of a crash helmet suitable for biking.

A comfortable backpack suitable for cycling/walking
A warm sweater, such as a technical sports shir, for sudden drops in temperature
A change of clothes (especially socks) in case of sudden rain

If you wish, you can choose bike hire from amongst our additional options. We will provide you with the bike that’s best suited to the type of route, taking your preferences into consideration, including helmets, pedaling accessories and spare parts for ordinary repairs. We have various types of bikes available, including e-bikes.
