Are you looking for an adrenalin-fuelled sport that enables you to be in close contact with nature and escape from your usual routine? Is this your first time trying out this sport or have you already done paragliding in other places and want to discover new areas? Paragliding over Gubbio is exactly the adventure for you!

When you reach Monte Ingino, Gubbio’s 904-m peak that hosts the world’s largest illuminated Christmas tree every year, you will meet a professional instructor who, after a short preparatory briefing, will fly you over the amazing Umbrian landscape.

A short run will launch you on your paragliding adventure with your instructor.

It is said that the launch is the most exciting moment and that lift-off from the ground and letting yourself go to the thrill of flying provides a very strong adrenalin rush. Flying with a paraglider means letting yourself be guided by the wind and experiencing lightness, floating over the immensity of nature and experiencing the great exhilaration of feeling totally free.

After the take-off phase you’ll feel more confident and carefree and be able to enjoy a privileged perspective: you’ll be flying over the town of Gubbio and see its great medieval charm in all its beauty, comfortably sitting in the two-seater paraglider.

The flight will end with a landing in the picturesque Parco dell’anfiteatro Romano, a well-preserved Roman archaeological area located just outside the centre of Gubbio.

No special skills or specific preparation are required to fly in a paraglider, as it’s a sporting activity that suitable for everyone. So don’t waste time, let yourself feel the ultimate euphoria of free flight!

Recommended clothing

Comfortable clothing is recommended, similar to the clothing usually needed in the mountains, including boots with a sturdy sole. It is always important to wear or carry with you a windcheater/anorak, even in the hottest months. Sunglasses are recommended.

Included

The equipment for safe flight is provided by the instructors: paraglider, harness, helmet. At the end of the flight you will be given a video of your experience shot with an action cam.

The activity will last about 3 hours.

Additional information

This activity lasts half a day, so lunch is not provided. In your itinerary you can still select the lunch option, above your timeline. We will be able to recommend one of the best places to eat when you return.

Requirements

Activity suitable only for adults (age 18+).
To do this activity it is essential to have a good level of physical fitness and to be in good health.
We advise you to get a good night’s sleep the night before the activity, to fully enjoy the experience.
We advise you against experiencing this activity on an empty stomach, as ot will help you avoid any nausea.
Paragliding flying can also be undertaken by vertigo sufferers, since you fly in a sitting positions, thereby not stimulating thebalance organs that trigger vertigo.
