Do you want to experience a high-octane adventure in a wonderful landscape full of lush vegetation?

Do you want a compelling, high-altitude experience or do you enjoy free flight and you’re looking for exciting new landscapes? Then paragliding over the village of Sigillo is for you!

The chosen departure point is Monte Cucco, which has been part of the protected area of the Parco di Monte Cucco since 1995. The summit, at 1566 metres, is located in the Umbria-Marche Apennines and is used as a take-off point by numerous free flight, paragliding and hang-gliding enthusiasts. The area is also famous for having hosted several world hang-gliding championships and other flight-related events. Together with its picturesque charm, Monte Cucco is an ideal location for paragliding, thanks to its favourable climatic conditions and mountainous geography.

After a quick briefing with your instructor, a short run will enable you to take flight. You’ll feel the exciting rush of losing contact with the ground and enjoy a comfortable seat on the two-seater paraglider. You’ll also be surrounded by a breath-takingly varied panorama and float feather-like over slopes, valleys, centuries-old woods, springs and streams.

Flying in a paraglider is sure to give you an exhilarating sense of freedom and an adrenalin-charged, thrilling experience.

Landing is scheduled about one kilometre from the village of Sigillo and the spot is clearly visible from Via Flaminia.

Paragliding is not considered an extreme sport but an exciting activity suitable for both beginners and experts. So if you want to get involved and experience thrilling sensations, all you have to do is prepare yourself for the adventure and take flight! Paragliding is a way to discover new horizons and try a new experience that you’ll doubtless long to repeat!!

Recommended clothing

Comfortable clothing is recommended, similar to the clothing usually needed in the mountains, including boots with a sturdy sole. It is always important to wear or carry with you a windcheater/anorak, even in the hottest months. Sunglasses are recommended.

Included

The equipment for safe flight is provided by the instructors: paraglider, harness, helmet. At the end of the flight you will be given a video of your experience shot with an action cam.

The activity will last about 3 hours.

Additional information

This activity lasts half a day, so lunch is not provided. In your itinerary you can still select the lunch option, above your timeline. We will be able to recommend one of the best places to eat when you return.

Requirements

Activity suitable only for adults (age 18+).
To do this activity it is essential to have a good level of physical fitness and to be in good health.
We advise you to get a good night’s sleep the night before the activity, to fully enjoy the experience.
We advise you against experiencing this activity on an empty stomach, as ot will help you avoid any nausea.
Paragliding flying can also be undertaken by vertigo sufferers, since you fly in a sitting positions, thereby not stimulating thebalance organs that trigger vertigo.
