Exclusive Montefalco wine tour

This option involves a tour of one of the most renowned wineries in the Montefalco wine area. It begins with a brief introduction to the company and its history, continuing with a tour of the vineyards and the production facilities, where the winery’s wine-making techniques will be explained in depth by professionals who supervise the entire production cycle. We will then see the part of the winery where ageing takes place in large Slavonian barrels and then in the bottle. You will then be taken to the tasting room and have the opportunity to taste several wines in combination with a selection of typical products, including the extra virgin olive oil produced by the company. The first wine, a 100% Grechetto, the autochthonous white Umbrian grape par excellence, is fresh and fruity on the palate, followed by another white, which is a blend produced by the company’s most prestigious white grapes. We will then move on to red wines: Montefalco Rosso, a wine with great elegance and structure, where Sangiovese predominates amongst the other grapes in the blend, and two types of Sagrantino, the real star of the Montefalco area. One is a classic version while the other is produced with grapes from a certain well-defined parcel in the vineyard and is the most sublime expression of the highest quality produced by the company. You will also have the opportunity to buy wines to take away or have sent to your chosen destination, enabling you to savour the flavours of Umbria whenever you wish.
