The ring of the village of Santa Giuliana

The hills around Umbertide hide a small treasure trove, or more exactly a jewel: the village of Santa Giuliana, an ancient fortified village in the middle of the woods nestled amongst these fantastic hills. This will be your goal if you choose to go on this trek. Our guide will accompany you along this circular route, through woods or cultivated land that gently descend and recline along the Tiber valley.

Along this route you’ll have the pleasure not only of seeing a lovely old village, but also an abbey and an old hermitage, as if to confirm the very essence of these landscapes: a meditative environment, far away from worldliness and everyday life.

The trek measures some 13 km and will remain in your heart and soul – but also give your body a pretty good workout!

Recommended clothing

For this activity we recommend comfortable clothing that does not restrict your freedom of movement.
Bring a windcheater/anorak with you, even if the activity takes place in the summer months.
We recommend you wear trekking footwear.

We also recommend you bring:
– A comfortable backpack suitable for cycling/walking
– A warm sweater, such as a technical sports shir, for sudden drops in temperature
– A change of clothes (especially socks) in case of sudden rain
– Hat with a sun visor
– Warm hat
– Gloves
– Sunscreen.
