Nestled in the glorious hills that divide Gubbio from Montone and Pietralunga, on a famous road cradled by nature and studded with medieval castles, you will have to look out for and take a narrow country road, which after a few bends will lead you to this magnificent farmhouse.
The property is located in the centre of an immense 100-hectare estate where primarily olive trees and vines are cultivated, but which also has a part left to grow as woodland.
You will notice the peace and tranquillity of the area as soon as you arrive. The stone structure, which looks like an ancient castle, towers over the hill and offers a breath-taking view of the surrounding hills. Inside the property there is even an ancient church, an age-old place of worship and spirituality once used by monks.
The interiors are large and well-kept. During renovation work, the family that manages the property wanted to retain as much as possible of all the antique utensils and furnishings. At the entrance to the reception rooms you will almost feel like you are in a museum, such is the lovely, detail-focused style of the communal areas. The rooms also boast classic décor, with splendid period furniture that will take you back in time.
On request, you can also choose to dine at the farmhouse, tasting the exclusively typical products of the area and the estate.
And to top off your stay, you will find a wonderful family to welcome you. They manage the property with love and impassioned enthusiasm and will immediately make you feel at home.
