Hot air balloon flight over Assisi

Enjoy the spectacle of gently flying over the Umbrian hills, Assisi and other enchanting villages.

In the open Umbrian countryside, among the lush hills at the foot of the Martani Mountains, you will be able to enjoy one of the most exciting and exhilarating experiences ever. You’ll be flying in a hot air balloon over Assisi at a height at which you can admire the beauty of the Umbrian valley and the green hills around the most characteristic villages of the region. Take off in the balloon usually takes place around 6.30 am, a perfect time in the period between April to September to enjoy a flight in ideal conditions. If you want, you can actively participate in the inflation of the balloon, the preparation of the basket with your flight companions and follow all the preparatory steps before take-off.

As soon as you are up in the air, the exhilaration and beauty will take your breath away. Just keep your eyes open and enjoy the immense spectacle of nature all around you.

At the end of the flight, lasting about an hour, you will be offered a savoury breakfast based on typical Umbrian products and a tasting of local wines at one of the most renowned wineries in the area, with the opportunity to buy products direct from the wine-making company.

Recommended clothing

Comfortable clothing is recommended, similar to the clothing usually needed in the mountains, including boots with a sturdy sole. It is always important to wear or carry with you a windcheater/anorak, even in the hottest months. Sunglasses are recommended.
