From Bevagna to Torre del Colle

A true leap into the past, starting from Bevagna. This trek in the countryside will take you to a village that seems to have been forgotten by time, yet it’s still alive and thriving even today

With this trek you’ll be able to lose yourself amongst Umbria’s most authentic treasure troves. We’ll be starting from Bevagna, one of the most beautiful villages in the region, which is still very much alive and thriving and has a population that is anything but slow. As soon as the walk begins we’ll immediately immerse ourselves in the countryside on the hills at the foot of the Martani mountains. There will be a series of climbs and descents among vineyards and olive groves, expanses of grasslands and, depending on the season, either meadows in bloom or mown wheat. Slowly we’ll reach the magnificent village of Torre del Colle, where time really seems to have stood still. You won’t even need to close your eyes to imagine yourself in the Middle Ages, what with all the carriages and horses! And don’t fall asleep because there won’t be many distractions to wake you up!

Recommended clothing

Bring a windcheater/anorak with you, even if the activity takes place in the summer months.
We recommend you wear trekking footwear.

– A warm sweater, such as a technical sports shir, for sudden drops in temperature
– A change of clothes (especially socks) in case of sudden rain
– Hat with a sun visor
– Warm hat
– Gloves
