A small tasting of wines and extra virgin olive oil

Umbria’s lush green hills provide a perfect snapshot of our region’s primary agricultural gems: vineyards and olive groves. These two crops yield products that promote the best of Umbria and project its image to the outside world, namely wine and extra virgin olive oil. Over the years, Umbria’s extra virgin olive oil has received the highest international awards for its simple and direct aromas, as well as for its ability to enhance the characteristics of numerous dishes. This tasting also includes a Montefalco Rosso DOC, a wine with considerable structure made with a blend based on the timeless Sangiovese grape, and a Sagrantino di Montefalco DOCG, an austere and elegant wine that is highly structured and suitable for prolonged cellaring. We also suggest you taste two types of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, one with a moderately intense flavour and the other with slightly more structure, paired with typical salted Umbrian focaccia.
