A thrilling trekking experience on monte Perugia

A thrilling trek climbing Monte Tezio, one of the most enchanting places in the Perugia area

From the side of the imposing mountain we will reach the magnificent meadow-covered summit at almost 1000 m a.s.l. The meadows host the remains of an ancient fortified castle and old ice houses. This will be a high-intensity excursion with breath-taking views over Perugia, Lake Trasimeno and the Apennines.

The itinerary is circular and extends largely along mountain paths, with short portions on dirt roads. The surface underfoot is in good condition but there are several uneven sections. There are no muddy patches in the case of recent rain. Many sections are exposed to winds. Along the way there are no refreshment or water supply points nor sheltered areas in case of sudden rain.

It is possible to modify the trekking excursion on mount Perugia according to requirements by increasing the km, the altitude and the duration of the excursion.

Recommended clothing

Bring a windcheater/anorak with you, even if the activity takes place in the summer months.
