Orvieto Evening Bike Tour with Final Tasting
Discover Orvieto and its history with the evening bike tour, a unique experience to explore and enjoy the city. The tour concludes with a tasting session at the foot of the Cathedral.
This unforgettable experience begins at 6:00 PM in Piazza del Duomo with the delivery of the e-bikes.
From the square, we will descend toward the Rocca di Albornoz, where we will take a brief stop to admire the view of the Paglia River valley and Mount Peglia, a UNESCO MAB heritage site. We will continue the evening Orvieto bike tour by exploring the northeastern part of the “Anello della Rupe.” Here, we will pause to admire the Necropolis of the Crucifix in the tuff from above and encounter the Chapel of the Crucifix carved into the rock along the way.
Our tour will continue towards Porta Romana. From there, we will enter the historic center of Orvieto and stop at a magnificent panoramic terrace located on the opposite side of the Rupe. We will cross Piazza della Repubblica to visit Orvieto’s oldest church, Sant’Andrea, and proceed to Piazza del Popolo, home to the Palazzo del Capitano.
At this point, we will return to Piazza del Duomo via Corso Cavour, which passes beneath the Torre del Moro. Upon our arrival, we will enjoy a rich tasting of Orvieto’s finest delicacies. Exceptional local wines and products will be served at one of the city’s oldest wine cellars.
With the owner’s permission, we will also have the opportunity to visit their private cellar: an Etruscan cave carved approximately 2,800 years ago. This unique experience will make the tour even more extraordinary!
