This experience will enable you to get up close and see Umbria’s honey production processes. You will be able to follow all the processing stages and see, in detail, all the procedures required to extract the honey from the honeycombs. A ‘sense-ational’ way to discover honey, beginning with the main notions relating to breeding techniques and continuing with the removal and cleaning of the hives: all the operations needed before the ‘honey extraction’ process, undoubtedly the most satisfactory for the beekeeper who at this stage sees all his efforts pay off.

Depending on the season and compatibly with the availability of the facility (the farm is one of the most well-equipped, organically-run educational farms in the entire region), you can participate in the extraction of the honeybees from the hives yourself. All this will obviously take place in conditions of absolute safety for both guests and bees. You can also taste three types of honey, understand their specific organoleptic characteristics and various culinary combinations.
